Need help. We had a patient that was in our ER for 3 days due to waiting on a bed at another hospital for higher level of care. The patient ended up leaving AMA on the 3rd day. We have Critical Care documented during this time. Can we still bill for services? If so, can you provide me the guidance to use to give to our Coding Director/Coders?
