Wiki ECG with Holter Monitor Denied

Good day,

My doctor reported 99214, 93224, and 93000. 93000 was denied.

Does anyone know the guidlelines for reporting 93000 (ECG) with holter monitoring (93224).

I appreciate you help.

Per NCCI these codes require modifier 59 to be billed together. Your doc will have to make sure his documentation is solid indicating that the EKG 93000 was done for a completely different reason; 59-Distinct Procedural Service.
