I have a provider who is wanting to bill out a level 5 established on a PT stating that "Total time spent 75 min extended stay, with greater than 50% of the time spent counseling and ADHD anxiety and career planning and life coaching." It's documented on what was discussed but if I were to look at this from a MDM standpoint how is that time supposed to be counted? Under Risk or Data? PT was in for a follow up and is considered as well controlled for medication.
I know if we bill out on the TT it would be the 99215 with x2 99417 but I'd like to have some input on how to incorporate all this coaching time when the provider doesn't state the time.
