HI!
If the provider has the decision for surgery and the e/m states decision for surgery (ex two weeks) Pt comes in for pre-op clearance following week with the PA. Surgeon also sees the pt to make sure everything is all set (strengthen muscles etc) and is under separate note, can the surgeon bill for an e/m code since it is related to the procedure? Thanks!!!

No once the decision for surgery is made the pre op encounter with the surgeon is considered part of global
