My physician saw a patient who was sent to our office by the facility in which he resides for hearing evaluation. However, the patient was significantly disabled and unable to comply even to raise his arm to assist with blood pressure monitor. He coded an E&M with diagnosis 319 for the disability and noted a foot blister 917.2. However, we are an ENT office and the patient was referred for eval in that realm. I feel we should also provide some diagnosis with that regard. Suggestions? I thought about a V code for hearing exam but we didn't even attempt that.
