Does dosage need to be documented for Prescription drug management? We are getting lots of push-back by some of our providers.
Looking for actual statement, for our location (Wisconsin), to back up the requirement for providers to include the dosage of a medication in order to count for MDM moderate Risk category 'Prescription drug management'.
We have AAPC - Delve Into Prescription Drug Management Advice (Delve Into Prescription Drug Management Advice) stating yes with their source being Novitas Solutions, a Part A/B Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) (Evaluation and Management FAQs - When can prescription drug management be credited in the medical decision-making?) but this is NOT our MAC so we cannot use this as a valid source when requiring our providers to include dosage in their documentation.
Can anyone help??
