I am new to this so I hope you can help me out fellow coders.
I work for a 5 physcian practice. If our Dr. #1 has an established pt. and he wants Dr#2 in office to see his pt for another problem, can Dr#2 charge for a new pt E/M visit (99204) or established pt E/M(99214).
Any information would be appreciated!
Thank you

Are they the same specialty

Hi,

If the physicians are the same specialty it has to be established, but w/new problem. If different specialty then it can be new patient

hello I am new and was trying to remember DMO stands for?
1) It's much better to post your own question separately, rather than add a reply to an unrelated thread from 6 years ago.
2) Depending on context, DMO could stand for different things. Some options:
Dental Maintenance Organization
Disease Management Organization
