I have a work comp injury patient works at car dealership.....he was bringing car around...stepped out of car.....saw it was still rolling....attempted to get back into car to stop it but twisted his knee and fell and never got back into car.....and the car never hit him.

What E code would you use? Is he now a pedestrian or is he still considered driver?

Well if the car never hit him why would you want E code for car accident? I would find an E code related to twisting, falling, etc. With worker's comp you usually have to submit the notes which will have detailed info, so I don't think they should have problem with E code.

I agree with Armen. There is a E code for twisting, lifting or sudden movement E927.8. Or there is a E code for Accident, Industrial Premise. I use that all the time if nothing is specific.

I was looking at car ecodes because the injury was caused by and involved a motor vehicle .......I didnt think it was a stretch.

But thank you both for your help
