Hello all,
Had patient thought to have an epigastric hernia (small protuberance in pre-op)
Ended up doing a exploration of upper abdominal wall fascia 49000
Post op Dx: Prominent costal cartilage????
"only explantion for the bulge seen preoperatively was that of an unattach costal cartilage to the left of the the xyphoid that became more prominent with expiration."
I was looking at using 789.36 for epigastric swelling???thanks for any input.
