The x-ray report documents: ganglion of the proximal origin to the ACL? no tearing. Could it be 717.83 (does not state old injury).

What about using 727.4 Ganglion unspecified? Derangement means degeneration rupture, old or tear, old. Since there is no tearing 717.83 or any of the derangement codes would not be apprpriate.

Yes, you can use 727.4 instead of 717.83
