Has anyone ever encountered a patient with insurance that requires you to collect BOTH a copay AND the allowable amount? It's an AETNA Choice POS II plan. The benefits were verified as "$30 CP 100% After Deductible" and our insurance verification department is telling me that this policy requires us to collect BOTH at the time of service. This is a policy with a large corporation - it is not a marketplace plan. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has every heard of this. Thanks.
