Hi,

I have been asked if we can give patients an RX to get Testosterone from their pharmacy, then come into our office for the administration and only bill for the administration. I'm finding that insurances do not allow that. Does anyone have experience in this and is there insurance policies you can guide me to?

We indicate in the narrative field (the old box 19 on the HCFA claim) the drug given, the J code and the amount.

I would advise you to contact each carrier about their specific policy.
