I have a patient that was seen in the office for a script to obtain a new prosthesis. The patient has had an above the knee amputation on left leg from past automobile accident. I am drawing a blank on a dx code. Patient's original prosthesis has broken and he is getting phantom leg pain. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

353.6=Phantom limb is a very common sensation in which an amputee continues to feel sensation in the absent limb as if it were still there. In some cases, this sensation comes in the form of pain, which may come and go or be constant. This is not a psychological disorder, but results from the severed nerve endings continuing to send information to the brain which is misinterpreted.
