I am curious how others are billing for DOT physicals. I have been having the patient pay upfront and get reimbursed by their employer, as technically a DOT Physical is not a preventive procedure. I welcome any input!!
I agree, and we do the same thing at our practice. This is an exam for administrative purposes, and would not be appropriately billed to a payer as a medically necessary service.
