We are confused as to what dos everyone is using to bill out the professional component of 88305. We have some carriers that want it billed on the date the specimen is taken and some want it on the date it was actually read in our office. Inga Elzy has in bold and underlined in her coding book that it is always billed on the date the specimen is taken.
Would like your input as to how everyone else is billing it. We are in Michigan.

When I billed Pathology the professional component is always billed the day the specimin was taken.
