Good morning.
I was asked a question by one of my providers about whether they need to actually be in the clinic to do a telehealth visit. I have done some researching on this, and cannot seem to find an exact answer on this. Can anyone offer me any guidance that I can give to my provider?

Alot of physicians are working from home. The old telehealth rules don't necessarily apply during a pandemic.
That's correct , the old rules do not apply at this time. However, the documentation should state the location of the patient and the provider to establish the place of service/POS.

The place of service is not going to change if the provider is in their home or in their office. I agree that the documentation should state it was a telehealth visit due to covid, and state that consent was obtained for those services.
