Just curious-
I went to a class that said you do not have to wait for path to charge out a surgery. Do most wait to read path and if you do will it determine your dx. For instance if Operative report has postoperative dx of acute cholecystitis but the path report shows acute and chronic cholecystis with cholelithiasis would you go with what Dr. documented or with what the path found?
I am just learning and trying to make sure I do things correctly-Thanks!
