Can someone code this scenario for me please...
we did a standard approach from left side and got on prevertebral fascia and went down on the old hardware, took out the hardware, got on the anterioir vertebral body of C5,C6,C7. We took ou the old hardware including the plate. Old hardware was removed, taking bilaterial instrumentation out of C5,C6,C7. Then did a anterior cervical diskectomy, going back to the posterioir longitudinal ligament, decomplresseed the neural foramina bilat, and did a complete diskectomy. Then did a cervical fusion at C4-C5 using a 8mm parallel Bengal Cage that was filled with autograft bone. The dura was decompressed using microscopic visualization. Then placed a 16mm Depuy skyline plate used to fix the anterioir cervical spine. then did a standard placement of a plate with hardware going at C5 as well as C4.
