Hello, I am still confused about the CPT code for the Acellular Dermal matrix and the De- epithelialized skin flap are
they 2 different CPT codes for reconstruction of breast surgery.
Thanks,
Carol

We use CPT +15777 for ADM reinforcement (ex: Allomax product - Biologic) typically with breast implant insertion following mastectomies. It is used to help support the implant or beef up thin skin - sorry for all the non official medical terms!
Skin flaps can also be done in reconstruction, especially if no implant being used, to say help fill in or close the hole after mastectomy or other breast procedure.
To tag onto this, anyone have a CPT code for the non biologic products used for breast tissue reinforcement- specifically when using a vicryl mesh.
My understanding, can't use 15777 or any of the topical skin substitute grafts codes (15271-etc)
