We bill for the physician portion of dialysis each month. We have a group of nephrologists that take turns rounding on these patients. Since these codes are based on a certain number of visits per month, can we add the visits by all of the providers or can we only bill for one of the providers? I know that we can only submit one code per 30 days, so can we bill for 4 visits per month if 4 different doctors round on that patient in a given month? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

hi i bill for dialysis also. so yes multiple physicians can round on the patients form the same group but it has to be billed under the one that does the assessment for the month. hope this is helpful. feel free to network with me at pmbc.11@gmail.com if you have any other ?
 
Yes, you can bill for multiple as long as the patient was truly seen while on dialysis or office. Documentation must be there in order to bill for that visit to be included in the monthly capitation
