Pt taken to OR. Pelvic exam under anesthesia. Prepped and draped in usual sterile fashion. Attention turned to abdomen. Abdomen was insufflated. laparoscopic ports inserted. Abdomen and pelvis were completely and systematically inspected. Extensive photo's were taken. After assessing the extent of the patient's pelvic sidewall adhesions I elected to request and intraoperative consult with a general surgeon. Dr A was available in the OR and she entered the room and scrubbed in. She preformed lysis of adhesions of the adhesions involving the right pelvic sidewall. After assuring hemostatsis, Dr A scrubbed out. The patient addomen was deflated. Lap ports were removed. The Lap port sites were closed.

My question, our surgeon opened and closed. Would I code as 49320, or
44180.52, because Dr A op notes indicate this was her procedure.

Any help appreciated.
