My provider is questioning how is it possible to specify which type of sinusitis a patient truly has. He feels as though if they choose for, example, Sphenoidal or Ethmoidal Sinusitis technically the patient would need a CT scan to determine this. Also, the provider is telling me that he doesn't feel as though he can always distinguish between Maxillary or Frontal Sinusitis either, especially in a very young child. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank you.
