Wiki diag for loose articular cartilage?

I have an op note that states patient has chondromalacia of patella, but in the body of op report it states "loose articular cartilage" was found so an abrasion arthroplasty was done. Wouldn't I be able to use both 717.7 & 717.6 for the loose art. cartilage?
