Can anyone give me some guidance on the use of a dermal graft (such as Flex HD) inside a wound rather than using mesh? Our doctor is questioning the 15330 codes used for such purposes, as those are anatomical and read as if they are for external wounds.

It was trimmed to an appropriate size and inset to the costal margins, the superior edge and the fascial edges inferiorly with a combination of interrupted and running 0 prolene sutures. It was put under mild tension to create an appropriate contour. A blake drain was placed through a seperate stab wound and made to lie beneath the abdominoplasty flap. Patient has an open abdominal wound with a ventral hernia and excision of excess skin for abdominal wound closure.
