Our providers inject 0.5cc of Depo-Medrol 40mg/ml. (multi dose vial) Do we report this as J1020x1 Methylprdnisolone actat 20mg or J1030 since that is the 40mg?
use the J1030 for the 40 mg.Our providers inject 0.5cc of Depo-Medrol 40mg/ml. (multi dose vial) Do we report this as J1020x1 Methylprdnisolone actat 20mg or J1030 since that is the 40mg?
That's what I was thinking but was wanting some other confirmation. Thanks so much!If they use 80mg then that would be 80 units from my understanding. 40mg=40 units etc
Have you been able to find the correct NDC number? From what I have seen online the new code is J1010 and its billed per 1mg. My question would be which NDC number do we use. Still trying to find that part out.
you will use the NDC# from what Depo-Medrol 20mg, 40mg, or 80mg used. the NDC# on the claim will alert the insurance carriers as to which strength was used. From what I have seen online the new code is J1010 and its billed per 1mg. My question would be which NDC number do we use. Still trying to find that part out.
