We are a Medical Ambulatory Surgery Center wanting to accommodate a Dentist needing somewhere to do his routine dental procedures under general anesthesia. These procedures would primarily be done on children younger than age 5 or so, requiring extensive dental work - either in the form of extractions, fillings, pulpotomies and pulpectomies (both requiring crowns) - as well as in general - a good cleaning of the teeth.
We are not familiary with billing for Dental Procedures - without an underlying Medical Condition to justify the use of the ASC. Typically we use the CPT code 41899.
Does anyone know how we'd go about billing? We are needing to know if there are specific forms and coding specifics. Thanks for any assisstance provided.
