Is anyone having issues with Blue Cross/Blue Shield denying the second unit of 97112, neuromuscular re-education. We are billing this code with 2 units and they are separating the lines and only paying for one. This is a time-based code, with each unit equaling 15 minutes, so 2 units is 30 minutes. In my understanding, this would be an incorrect denial. Does anyone have any insight as to why they are doing this?
