Wiki Denial new patient and carpal tunnel diagnosis

Blue Cross denied several of our claims because they stated that diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome was inconsistent with a new patient office visit. Should we add any diagnoses such as pain or numbness. What do you suggest we do so that they are satisfied?
