The scenario is in the Ed. Ortho consult, patient has 3 metarsals fractures, fractured lateral malleous, and a fractured pilon. A robert jones dressing was applied and a closed reduction on 1 of the metarsals. The patient goes to O.R. for ORIF of the Tibia pilon fractures..? I know one metarsal gets the closed reduction but do i apply the splint for the rest including the Fractured lateral malleous and fracture pilon..
