Most consider the upper extremity to include everything from the "shoulder" to the hands. There is always the occasional question from the provider about the area between the shoulder and the neck (clavicle). Or if it's close enough to the neck on the upper shoulder, whether it's neck.

Does anyone know of any definitive "anatomy" resources that defines (or delineates) the external body into sections as it related to CPT coding (or even ICD-10) when there are site-specific codes needed?

Often there is sometimes confusion with the following...

What are the limits of the extremities? (i.e., arm vs. shoulder vs. trunk vs. neck)
What are the limits of the nose vs. other parts of face?
What are the limits of the upper lip and vermillion border towards the nose?
What are the limits of the external ear vs. other parts of face vs. neck?
Abdomen vs. groin?
etc.
