I know I have access to all highly trained AAPC certified coders 
I need to know if instrumentation is done (22842) on 3 levels of the spine, is it appropriate to bill this code 3 times (in addition to its primary code, of course) or does the code itself encompass ALL services done between 3 and 6 levels. I also have the same question with regard to 22846 - is it billed once for each level or is it a single comprehensive code for ALL services done between 4 and 7 levels. I need this additional info for my appeal, but I need it really, really, REALLY quickly. Like, by tomorrow at noon. Can anyone HELP Please ???
