Wiki Decompression versus traction??? Help!!

Does anyone know the difference between vertebral axial decompression and traction? I'm having trouble finding resources. I know Medicare doesn't pay for the VAX-D but as far as I can find Medicare covers traction. What is the main difference between the two and where can I find information regarding this?
