Help!
I have a Patient who fractured her wrist and also had a skin tear of the elbow/forearm area it all happened at the same time.
Fractue is within the Global Period.
She has now come in for a follow up and the doctor debrided the wound in the office. Not sure how to code this.
Do I code the wound, along with the debridement (97602) and a separate E/M code for the tear and use a modifier 79 on the debridement and code a V54.89 with a 99024 for the fracture?
Any help is very much appreciated.
