Can anyone give some clarification of the cpt 13160 (which includes debridement) billing with cpt 11012 (debridement of open fracture)? When going through code correct, they always disallow the 11012. Any help would be appreciated.

Per CCI Edits 11012 would have to have a 59 modifier attached to show it was a distinct procedure. Have you tried that already?
