Hello - there is debridement performed after the excision - 11623. Is this reportable? If so, 11042 or 15004 doesn't seem to fit.
anesthesia was infiltrated into the scalp wounds and the scalp was prepped and draped in the usual sterile fashion.
The excision involved a strip of skin, subcutaneous tissue and periosteum from 1-5 o'clock and included a large segment of the deep margin which was initially positive for the malignancy. Hemostasis was obtained with bipolar cautery. The specimen measured approximately 3 x 3 cm in size.
Debridement of an anterior scalp wound by the free flap was then performed and it appeared as if there was a suture that was infected in this area. The scalp wound was dressed with Xeroform gauze and a pressure dressing and the anterior scalp debridement area was dressed with some antibiotic ointment.
