Can anyone tell me whether or not it is required that "with contrast" be specifically documented by the radiologist for a CTA? If there is no such thing as a CTA without contrast, is contrast automatically assumed?
All CTA codes include with contrast in their description. The radiologist doesn't have to specifically document with contrast. If non contrast images are done prior to the CTA they are included in the CTA codes. 3D/MIP documentation is a requirement for CTA.
