Wiki CRNP Billing for E&M during Vivitrol Visit

I have a CRNP asking if she can bill for a physical and/or pregnancy test for her patients when they come in for their Vivitrol visit, I have contacted multiple payors and can not get an answer on this questions because none of them know if it is allowed has anyone ever had this issue can any one help?

If the service is a medically necessary part of the treatment of the patient's condition, is supported by documentation, and is not inclusive to any other service that you are billing, then I don't know of any reason why you would not be able to bill for it. Whether it will be covered or paid under the patient's benefits is another question though and will vary depending on the patient's plan, but that should be a factor in whether or not you can code and bill it.
