We are trying to make sure that we code to the highest level of specificity and get the most reimbursement, as well as trying to code correctly.
My question is... If a patient presents to the emergency room and is found to be a code stemi.. Can the physician bill a critical care code for the time spent with the patient prior to presenting to the cath lab, or should we continue to bill a high level admission code?![Confused  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
