Looking for CPT for looking for scope used to locate foreign body-fishbone- but not found. But quite a bit of food residue was suctioned out of the vallecula and piriform areas.
Done via 2 separate scopes: Direct laryngoscopy to visualize larynx, hypopharynx and upper trachea.
2nd procedure was cervical esophagoscopy to examine upper cervical esophagus.
Both done transorally under general anesthesia.
I'm coming up with 43200 and 31535.
Are these correct?
thank you ENT coders.
