Depends what access your talking man. Like most interventional Cardio procedures- 1). What’s the access site. Arterial? Venous? Both. Is the impella goin into the left ventricle or right ventricle? What’s the approach. PerQ or Transthoracic?
Impellas are ventricular access devices your PerQ Impella codes are- (LVAD, RVAD) 33990- Percutaneous Arterial access only , left Heart (Left Ventricular access device) 33991- Arterial and Venous accesses(two percutaneous access sites, with transseptal Puncture)
33995- Right Heart (Right Ventricular device) Vein access only.
Or if your looking at transthoracic approach (33975, 33976, 33979)
