. One of the doctors I work with saw a patient in the hospital. Here is what he did: I then attempted to remove the blood in the proximal gastric stomach with both suctioning the liquid blood, and then
trying to remove the blood clot so that I could better visualize the proximal body, fundus and cardia. I used a netted Roth snare and scooped up some of the clot but it was thick and would break off. I even was able to pull some of
the clot off and distribute it distally through the partitioned stomach and into the antrum to get the blood clot out of
the way to be able to see. This was not successful. I then used the super suction device to try and suction up more
blood and the clots. This was good but still infective after about 500cc of old blood was suctioned. Again, I still
could not clear the proximal stomach and cardia region of the blood. Therefore, after 45 minutes of just trying to
clear the field of the proximal stomach, I terminated the procedure.
Please help me and thank you in advance.
