Medically unlikely edits for this code say that it can be reported up to 4 times per day. Usually when our doctor does the injections they are on separate areas rt shoulder, lt shoulder, etc. This time the note states that the three injections were performed on the patient's hip: greater trochanteric bursa, pes ansuries, and IT band. Can 20610 be reported more than one for these injections?

No. The provider can only bill 20610 because the sites are of the same hip. If it was different anatomical sites, such as different shoulders, knees, wrists, etc. then you could bill up to 4.
