Wiki Cpma - I was just wondering, for anyone who has taken and passed this test

I was just wondering, for anyone who has taken and passed this test, has it really helped you get a job or does the same thing happen that happens if you have taken the CPC, pass, try to get a job, and no one will hire you because you don't have any actual coding experience? It's really frustrating to spend all this money, take all these test and then no one will hire you for that reason.

I have got both my credentials CPC-A & CPMA and still not able to get a position. Its been 3 yrs since CPC & 1 year since CPMA. So i dont know if it helps. Everyone wants you credentialed but no one gives a job due to lack of experience. I am currently volunteering in the Billing Dept of a Hospital nearby.

I was afraid that would be the answer. I am volunteering in a medical coding department at a hospital in my city too. Hopefully this will help us out in the long run....
