BILLING AND CODING COMPLIANCE ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for insuring compliance relating to Medicare billing requirements, conducts internal audits of provider documentation, analyzes medical necessity denials, subject matter expert for providers and staff, provides education and training as needed for providers, staff and billers, applies appropriate CPT, ICD-9 & HCPCS codes to provider encounters.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent & Current CPC or CCS-P- coding certificate REQUIRED.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Three years physician billing and coding experience. Medicare billing experience required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Knowledge of medical software programs & coding software; above average
problem solving skills, excellent analytical and organizational skills, excellent
written and oral skills.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITY
Knowledge of managed healthcare plans, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, HIPAA.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.
