Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
-Schedule appointments for veterans using CPRS and VISTA. (Ultrasound, X-ray, DEXA, Echocardiogram, Dental/Dental Hygiene)
-Provide courteous customer service to patients and their families.
-Arrange veterans appointment dates, times, and location when staffing shortages occur in Radiology and Dental.
-Coordinate appointments for veterans with other clinics.
-Receive phone calls from veterans to schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
-Print off patient scheduling letters and mail out.
-Print off schedules for the following work day for Dental, Radiology, Ultrasound, CT, and Echocardiogram.
-Review Audiocare daily and contact any veteran who wishes to cancel their appointment.
-Add veterans to the VCL waiting list.
-Schedule, complete, and verify recall orders for Dental.
-Schedule Dushom exams for Dental patients.
-Schedule Dental appointments for veterans if the eligibility requirements are met.
-Contact providers to have orders entered in via phone and/or VISN 12 messages.
-Organize Radiology orders to be called and scheduled in a timely manner.
-Complete Dental consults.
-Transfer calls to outreach facilities as well as internally according to the veteran's needs.
-Copy patients' DD-214 and file them for Dental.
