Wiki CPC-A Looking for an opportunity

Hi all! I’m a newly certified coder as of January 2018 and I’m looking for an opportunity in which I can gain experience in coding. I’m located in Virginia centrally between Richmond and Fredericksburg. I do have a medical background I am a Certified Nurse Assistant, a Registered Medication Aide, I have taken a course in Electronic Medical Records in which I just need to take the CEHRS certification exam, and I am currently enrolled in a Clinical Medical Assistant course that I will complete in mid-June. I have applied for many jobs and even checked in with my local Project Xtern sites, and still nothing as of yet. I have not yet worked directly within an outpatient medical office or urgent care and I feel that this along with lack of coding experience what is holding me back from getting an opportunity as far as my resume is concerned. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do next?
