My resume which highlights my expertise in coding, billing, and collections is enclosed. I have currently completed an AHIMA approved accelerated training course in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding at the Allen School Online with a 4.0 GPA and have passed the AAPC Certified Coding Specialist Examination on June 25, 2011.
In addition, my experience includes executive administrative assistance for the Medical Directors of two psychiatric inpatient facilities, namely Dr. Stephen Hawk, the Medical Director for the Psychiatric unit at the Suncoast Hospital in Largo, and Dr. George Warren, who was the Medical Director for the Medfield Hospital in Largo.
Based on my skills in dealing constructively with difficult situations, identifying and prioritizing difficult tasks, and interpreting and analyzing data, I am confident in my ability to bring a contribution to your organization. I have extensive knowledge of current billing and coding guidelines and regulations for all types of payers and in all types of collections and appeals processes. During my employment with A&M Psychiatric Services and Bay Area Behavioral Health Associates, my concentrated efforts to improve collections resulted in over 100% improvement within the first year of employment.
