Can anyone tell me how other clinics are using the HCPCs codes for alcohol, smoking, and depression counseling or screening? We have a few providers, nutritionist, plus a behavioral counselor who are seeing more Medicare patients coming in with alcohol, smoking, and depressive issues and they would like to know how other facilities are coding using the following codes: G0436, G0437, G0422, G0433, H0049, H0050 along with the E/M codes 99406-99409. Are you also using and E/M code for an office visit?
