We are performing the requirements per the description for CPT 93793 in our clinic practice for two patient scenarios (1) patient has lab drawn at lab, results received by clinic and patient comes to clinic to be managed and (2) patient has lab drawn at lab, results received by clinic and patient managed while patient is at home. The clinic is provide-based and thus we are required to bill using Place of Service Codes 19 or 22 depending on site. However since we started using the code, we are receiving denials because clinic is OP Facility of Hospital. Are there any provided based clinics that perform this service that has a recommendation on how to bill compliantly?
