Hi everyone, my question is when my doctor performs a corpectomy and a fusion how do I count the levels.
The surgery performed was a corpectomy on C4 and C5 with a fusion from C3 to C6 using plate/cage.
Would the fusion still be three levels even though he removed two of the vertebra, or would that be considered one interspace?
What about the plate would that be two or four segments?
I hope that makes sense.
